Status updates on my life!!

5/18/2025

Wow, been forever since I updated this sight. Almost a whole month. Crazy how time goes by. Well, anyways, not much has happened in that time. Well, I mean, I guess that's not entirely true. The aforementioned AP tests are finally done! Just finished 'em last week. I think I did decent on all of them, good enough to pass for sure, and that's all that matters. Happy that's finally behind me! And while the workload of school HAS gotten a little lighter, it's uh, still not very light, which is a bumber. I'm actually kinda stressing over English class projects again, on a Sunday, the day before it's due. Just like last time I was making my site! Well, this one isn't as bad at least, not yet. I still have time for the REAL project.

But yeah. I haven't really felt much like doing much website making. Just been grooving along. Playing some silly games, watching my brother play Stardew Valley, talking to friends. Not giving either enough attention, probably. Oh well. Well, on Mother's Day, I went to a carnival, which was pretty cool. There were rides, like a little rollercoaster, and uh, a ferris wheel. Other stuff too but I dunno how to describe them. I dunno if it's like, a common amusement park thing, but I know they had it at Six Flags where I went, and they had something similar here. It's like a boat, and they swing it around so you're like, seated perpendicular to the ground, like you're about to fall. I was worried my glasses would fall off. Then there was another, kinda similar, but they swung us around during it as well. It was like that teacup one where it spins around, if it was way faster and you were swung around and 60 feet in the air. Then there was another where, honestly, I don't remember, but it was pretty thrilling. I was strapped in and pretty much just soared through the skies. It was a little scary, but honestly too cool to be THAT scary. It was like I was superman. Then the last one was like, the strapped us in a little chamber, spun the chamber all around, and put it on like, a chain that the chambers would ride on. And then that chain spun around as well. I'M REALLY BAD AT DESCRIBING THESE... OK so... Actually, here's a gif. I'll do a gif for all of them.

That's Zipper. The one in the chamber I just tried to describe.

This is Delusion. The one that made me feel like superman. It seems horrible from this perspective honestly, so I'm like... kind of a badass for not being scared.

And this is Dream Catcher. Which spun me around while swinging me.

I got these from the website of the fair I went to, so sorry if the framerate is low and you can't tell what's going on. All and all, it was pretty fun and thrilling, and yes, scary. But I think I'm a little over that fear. A little. I did other things there, there were tons of rides, but those three were the highlights for me. I also had like, boba milk. Aww... That reminds me. The boba tea guy had like, a college fund tip jar and he drew like, little anime girls on it. And :3s. It was fire, I wanted to tip him, but I didn't have any cash, and neither did my brother. The boba was really good though, I got like, some oreo boba milk thing. For dinner I had nachos grande, and they were pretty good, buuut I regret not getting something else. And I had lemonade there too, which was delicious. Only problem was, everything was over 10 dollars. Well, for the experience, I'd say it was worth it. Then there were some shows, they were, eh. Kinda cool, kinda not, but I appreciated the artistry behind it. The audience in general... did not. Claps were sparse. I felt bad. There were these guys who rode bikes on tightropes, and motorcycles in this little like, metal mesh sphere. It went hard. And then there were the carnival games, I played like, one where I threw darts at balloons. That was easy. Then one where I shot a pellet gun at a target, that one was NOT easy. I'm not good at shooting it turns out. That reminds me, there was also some like hardcore republican vendor with like shirts about Trump and GOD, GUNS, and... I think it was freedom? All that kind of stuff. That was unexpected. Oh yeah, and there was just a normal ferris wheel. That was nice. Well, that was my carnival experience. I've been itching to go on some scary thrilling rides for a while, so I'm glad that was finally answered. I went home with a headache though, lol. Oh yeah, and I'm went to see an eye doctor so I can get new glasses. Can't wait to see in 20/20 again!

Well, anyways, I was feeling kind of bummed out today. Updating my website a little did help a little actually though. I wonder what next to do with this website ! Well, anyways, that's all that's really been going on, I guess ! Not very eventful, but action enough for me lol.

Woof. What a week. I stayed pretty busy on that Sunday, and ended up getting all the work I needed to do on time. I did have to stay up until like, 1:30am though. Oh well. Also during that week, I gave three presentations I was pretty stressed about, but they all ended up being alright. And, now they're over. Next week is the last full week before exams. I am a little nervous, but honestly, excited, because I think I'll do pretty well on them, and at the end of the day, atleast they will be over.

All in all, it was a pretty busy week, and I didn't really end up having much motivation to update my website as I thought I would. I guess motivation the free time that a week off gives you was gone once I didn't have the week off. Which is a little disappointing, but still, I'm proud of what I've done on this website, and it scratched the creative itch I felt. I'm also happy I have a place to put my ideas, if I have them. I also watched some of RWBY, and I wanna watch more when I have time. Speaking of time, school is almost over, so maybe when summer rolls around, I will be back to avidly working on my website. We'll see.

Anyways, I did a lot of work on the website, and so, let's look back on the checklist I made last entry. I finally added those pictures to the games page. I also added a few more games that I was playing through, or wanted to try. I also finished the mahjong tutorial. And, at least a little, the website become more mobile accesible. I think it's about as good as I care to get it. It's obviously not OPTIMIZED for mobile, but I'm pretty sure it won't break anymore. The problem was I set my flex boxes to a specific height, which would make it so that on mobile, the flex boxes wouldn't resize to the contents, and so, the whole thing would just spill out. That should no longer be a problem. The Yakuza retrospective is still quite an undertaking, and I'm not sure when I'll get around to finishing it, but I will readd a link to it, from the Games page. Well, thanks for reading this update, and for checking my website, I'm not sure how frequently updates will be in the future, but I'll try my best, cuz it's fun.

I keep thinking about things to put on this website, and most of my ideas are... honestly not great. But I figured this would be a cool one. I think I'm naturally "performative," which isn't to say I'm any good at it, but I function as if someone is watching. Even when no one is... It's something I noticed when I started my journal as well. I'd write as if someone was going to read it one day. Now, if I put it on my website, maybe someone WILL read it someday! Which is kinda cool. I mean, I don't know if it's necessarily LIKELY someone will read this, but a phrase I've been using is an "imaginary audience." So, to my imaginary audience, I thought it would be cool to make a new journal of sorts, where I talk about my life. Perhaps this way I can eventually say everything I wanted to say, but couldn't figure out how.

This week I had off from school. Which was cool. I sadly didn't do much of value this week though. I mean, I made this website, so that's something cool. And honestly I've sunk a lot of time in to this website lol . At the very least, a lot of time thinking about it. I actually have an English project due Monday... but it's Saturday night. Uh oh. Tomorrow is gonna be tough, lol. And what's messed up, is that project involved making a website. Not like this though. I'm supposed to use Google Sites, which is just like, drag and drop. Not very cool. Probably easier. Buuut I just have had no motivation. Anyways, if I can get it done tomorrow, then no harm done.

Honestly, I'm pretty excited for this school year to be over. My AP tests (which for people unfamiliar, are tests that, if you get good grades, can count as a college credits) are gonna be done in mid May, so that's pretty much the end of the year for me. Which is just one month away. It is a little scary that the exams are coming up, but I'm ready for it all to be over. I'm ready to just relax and exist without too much worries.

Anyways, before I end this entry, I wanna make a checklist of things I wanna do for this website. This will be the first time I actually use HTML's list function lol. But I probably will not do any of that tomorrow. And then the day after tomorrow, I have school, so we'll see. Also, I've been spending too much time on the 'puter recently, so i should try to reduce that. have a happy Easter if you celebrate it, and just a happy Sunday if you dont!
